Can i put one small fish in a small vase with a flower?
Yeah it matters what fish it is. Generally, keeping any fish in a vase with a flower is inhumane, though people still put bettas in there. The problem is that it's too small and the flower can kill the fish when it starts to die. Also, not just any flower can go in the water. And do not put in store bought bouquets. These have to be non toxic plants.
Reply:I've seen people put bettas in containers with ivy, but never with flowers. A hospital I've been to in Colorado Springs has huge Ehrlenmeyer flasks with bettas and pothos ivy in them everywhere! The fish seem to do well, and with all the medical/science-type folks around, they are very well cared for. I was in to get blood drawn one day, and the betta that the group had had for a long while had died; they were absolutely in mourning about it!
Reply:No you cant put 'one small fish' in one small vase. IIT WILL DIE.....D.O.N.T...M.U.R.D.E.R..I.T
Reply:No fish will thrive in a vase. What kind of fish were you thinking about getting, or putting in it? Goldfish as someone mentioned will die quite quickly in a vase considering one goldfish needs at least 15 gallons per fish. A Betta will not survive either. I think it is cruel to a living creature to be "housed" in something so small. As a matter of fact many business's have taken such vases and kits off the shelves. It would be like stuffing a large dog in a cramped up pet carrier.
Reply:vases are for FLOWERS not FISH.that is so inhumane!if you want to properly care for any fish, get it a nice tank with a filter.thats so much better.
Reply:Go to your pet store they sell plants especially for fish tanks. Some fish like to hide in the roots some fish will eat certain kinds of plants. But don't put just any fish in a vase with any plant. Beta will work well in small environments don't require an air pump and are pretty resilient. Gold fish don't really require air pumps but all other fish will require a tank with air. But be sure to visit your pet store. They'll have a lot to choose from and will help with your decision. Hope this helps.
