I will offer you these, however, I have no idea how large the pots are!
My first choice would be a dwaft Norway Spruce in a mid-sized plant as a center plant in the center planter. Space your planters from edge to center to edge. I would plant creeping enoyoumous around this "centerpiece" From Thanksgiving to New Years this planter will be great. Small battery powered lights on the tree and the drap lights on the droup plants.
Begonia, Salvia, Purple Palace, and the basic marigold or Dusty Miller would work fine in corner planters. The Begonia can come in many colors(do not get wax). The Salvia will be an upright red flowering plant. The Purple Palace and Dusty Miller are both more toward a perennial plant. Put the Miller in the center and the Palace (12") apart on the outside and take them inside about Dec.1st.
The Begonia should be the third planters outside plant. Get the lightest color you can and put the Salvia in the center in a bunch. This planter should go where there is the most early and late light. It will also need the most fert and water. I believe you will find that this gives you diversity, a cost savings (see two planters), and year long interest. Hope it helps. It would help to know the planter sizes. Jerry G.
What is the best flower to plant in a pot on a balcony that faces east?
Depends on where you live and how hot it gets there. But pretty much anything you want, as long as it's made for your climate. Go to one of your local garden stores, NOT wal-mart or a national chain, and find out what grows good in your area. The national chains will have flowers from all different areas, and some of them don't do well in different places. I'd try and go with something that likes partial shade, that way it will tolerate being in the shade in the afternoon.
Other than that, just pick something you like!!
Reply:Cannabis Sativa
Reply:petunias, Shasta or Gerber daisies, begonias, inpatients, portulaca, geraniums, a fuchsia plant ( that needs some shade though) good luck! petunias and great for full sun areas! lots of color!
Reply:Jade of course!
Or you could have some Lucky Bamboo.
Reply:Begonias and geraniums are both great and easy to care for. I also like petunias. All grow well in containers. You can add white sweet allysum around the outside edges of the pot. They smell wonderful. Good luck!
