I'm planning to plant some flowers on my pots, but I don't want to have too much hassle dealing with maintaining it. Are tulips, lilies easy to maintain?
What kind of flower plant is easy to maintain??
Tulips and lilies are easy to maintain, but they only flower once, then the foliage dies back, making them pretty unsightly. If you want something similar, how about daylilies? They have grassy foliage and mini stella d'oro and happy returns are small enough for large pots and will bloom off and on all summer long. They do need a few hours of sunlight each day, don't required deadheading and aren't too thirsty. They will also come back year after year. If you were more specific about pot size, available light, etc., it would be possible to give more specific possibilities.
Reply:try verbena...come in a few colors and if put in a big enough pot they get pretty good size and all they require is mostly sun and water couple times a week
also try ganazia...once they take root you will only need to water occasionally since they are drought tolerant...i have a bunch last year and only watered them every 1 1/2 wks and they did great in pots and the ground
